Hi Carol

Just wanted to send a quick note - our schnoodle, Libby is doing fabulous!!  She's just about seven months.  We had the four children and our dog fits right in!!  She is a confident dog, and her personality couldn't have been better.

She anxiously waits for the bus each day for her "buddies" to come off and greet her.

Just wanted to sincerely thank you for all you do with your puppies.  She has brought so much joy to our lives and I hope you continue to breed puppies.............You are giving all of us families such a gift!!!!!

Thank you, thank you.

I hope all is well with you.  And hope you are still painting - you're great at that too!!!!!

Warm regards,
Theresa and Tony and Libby and the gang!!!

Happy Holidays Carol,
It's hard to believe a whole year has gone by!  We hope this finds you happy & healthy.
Bella turned 1 on Thursday.  She continues to bring smiles to all of the people she meets.  She is so smart, loyal and a true entertainer.
Our daughter recently had knee surgery with complications.  She is cooped up in the house all day.  If it weren't for Bella and her adorable personality, Hannah would not be as smiley as she is with the pain she is going through, a true therapy dog!
As you can see Bella makes herself at home.  This is her favorite perch on the back of a big comfy chair looking outside.  She thinks she is a kitty!!!  Our chocolate lab Baci continues to get along beautifully with Bella.  Bella has no idea she is 3 times smaller than Baci!!!  They are best buddies.  Yesterdays snow storm was so much fun for the two of them.  They love to race around.  Bella is like a snow plow and comes in all snow balls!
"Bella"

We can't thank-you enough for bringing such well tempered adorable cockapoos into this world!
                             Happy Happy Holidays~
                                 The Clarke Family
P.S.- You should have heard from a family in our area looking for a cockapoo because our Vet gave them your web site.  They feel your cockapoos are by far superior to any others in temperment & good looks!!!!  Thought you'd like to hear that piece of info.

Mo is enough Love forever!!!  I would,of course, love to visit any litter of toy puppies but Mo is exceptional!!!

His coat is softer than that of a lamb.  I had a crowd for Christmas and he quietly went from lap to lap warming everyone's hearts.  He is the best dog I have ever shared life with.  He sleeps beneath the tree during the day.  Mo loves Christmas!!!

Take care and thank you so much for breeding such a special angel for us.

Fondly, Linda Gaul

Dear Carol and Jim,

Greetings from the Andrews in Connecticut!!  Ranger is 6 months old this week (born 6/28/05 to Callie) and I just wanted to let you both know that he is the greatest dog in the whole world!!  Ok, ok I am sure all of your clients say that...and I really am sure because you truly breed the best cockapoos anywhere!!

Ranger is a red sable boy and he is truly beautiful!!  He weighs around 12 lbs these days.  He is so loving and friendly.  He is a true family dog.  He plays with the kids (ages 4 and 7) and yet when he is tired or wants to rest he hangs out with my husband and I.  He has bonded with our 2 year old cat - yes, they are really friends.  They play together and even at times nap together.  It is so sweet.

All month we kept saying "wait until Christmas day, Ranger will be into all the wrapping paper".  But he wasn't at all.  He played quietly with his new toys and didn't eat a single piece of wrapping paper!!  He has always been well behaved.  He has never ever even licked a piece of furiture never mind chew it.  From the very begining we provided him with a few good dog toys and always traded off with him if he ever took something that wasn't his (like one of our kids's toys).  He is simply an amazing pet!

Last winter I spent a great deal of time researching what and where we would purchase a puppy come summertime.  I am a cat person so having a dog is very foreign to me.  Ask me anything about cats and I'm ready with an answer, but dogs...not so much.  So I read books and watched shows on Animal Planet and I did research on the web.  We were pretty sure we would get a cockapoo, our friends had one, but we were not sure where to find one (our friend's breeder retired plus was located too far away).  Anyway, I practically memorized your site once I discovered it.  It was so very helpful.  It wasn't long before I knew without a doubt that we would purchase our cockapoo with you.

Anyway, since it is now winter again, I thought I would offer you a testimonial for your website.  If anyone is researching breeds or breeders, cockapoos are an amazing breed and Mulberry Farms is where you need to go.  All my reading and research also paid off.  Our dog Ranger is a very affectionate, well behaved, sweet dog.  Everyone loves him, even my dad who is sooo not a dog person!!  Here are some tips that I have learned and wish to pass to anyone purchasing a Mulberry Farm cockapoo:
  • Be prepared to go outside often for the first 5 weeks.  Probably every hour to hour and a half.  Oh sure it is fun at first, but yes it gets old by week three.  But don't give up...He will get it.  In fact Ranger got it by week 4.  We were accident-free by 5 weeks.
  • Buy Nature's Miracle and Murphy's Soap prior to bringing home your puppy.  If he has an accident (and he will) dilute the spot with water first.  Blot and then treat with Nature's Miracle or Murphy's Soap.
  • Hang jingle bells at the door that he will most often use.  Hang at least 3 large bells about 1 foot off the floor on a hook prior to your puppy coming home.  Every time you go out with him, take his paw in your hand and ring the bell.  By 4 weeks - he's got it!  Ranger rings the bell every single time he has to go out - to do his business or just to play.  It is a great form of communication for your dog and family.  (Also, never ignore him if he rings it or you will confuse him).  Bells can also travel with you to relatives house.
  • Invisible Fence (installed by the professionals ofcourse) is a must!!  Pricy but once you get you can't live without it!!  Have it installed and ready for use for when your puppy is 4 months old.  Cockapoos are, in my opinion, one the the smartest breeds out there.  Ranger was trained successfully with the invisible fence the very first week.  We opted for 2 training sessions with the professionals and that is all it took.  Ranger loves his freedom.  He rings his bells and we let him out to enjoy his yard.  It's a dogs dream.  (We are not, however, in favor of ever leaving your dog outside when you are not home.  You should always keep and eye on your pet like you do your children).
  • A good dog crate or kennel is a must.  We put Ranger's crate in our bedroom.  I have a small blanket on top of it so that it is den-like for him.  Ranger loves homemade (yarn) afagans!!  We have one in his crate folded up nice and cushy and he kneads it like a cat would and falls fast to sleep.  When he was a baby we played classical music for him at bedtime.  After about a month I stopped that because it was not necessary.  Now I just leave classical music on for him if I need to leave the house and he can not come with me.  (He is in his crate not let free to roam the house when we are not home).
  • Toys.  Great dog toys are the small soft animals (like beanie babies but made for dogs).  He loves them and uses them as a form of comfort.  Of course tennis balls and such are great to have on hand too - he loves to run after them in the yard!
  • Treats.  Kongs are the king of doggie treats!!  We do not go overboard with treats for Ranger.  Since he eats only twice a day (breakfast and dinner) his midday snack is always a Kong.  We stuff (and I mean stuff) his Kong with cheese bits and a few pieces of his dry food.  It doesn't fit alot of food, but enough.  The secret is to really stuff it in good.  It creates a challenge for your dog to get it out.  I would say it takes Ranger a good 20 minutes to get it all out.  If I forget around noon, he just sits in the kitchen and gives me a look that let's me know.
  • Do not create a beggar.  As I said earlier, I am a cat person so I know cats really really well.  Years ago one of our indoor cats was a beggar and really it was our fault.  We gave her food at the table and we created a monster.  So I have learned by that mistake.  The cats I have now, are never given people food.  Really the same thing goes for dogs.  Never give a dog scraps or food from the table.  Ranger only gets his kong as a treat at a predetermined time each day.  Yes, he gets other doggie treats on occasion but not on a consistent basis.  He is not a beggar.  At family mealtimes he lays under the table and uses one of our feet for a pillow.  He is not a pest in the least bit.
  • Tug of War.  Don't do it.  Don't buy those type of toys and don't engage in that type of play.  You will just create a bad habit for your dog.  I read that in a puppy book and trust me, Ranger is a very happy dog even though he never plays tug of war.
  • Walks.  They love walks.  We walk Ranger all the time.  We walk him on the sidewalk downtown so he can people watch and also in the woods on trails so he can explore.  He loves it and he is always on his leash!!
  • Socialization.  Every single puppy book says to socialize your puppy from 8 weeks to 12 weeks.  It is suggested that they meet 100 new people during that time.  Yes it is a lot.  Did we make the 100?  No, but close.  Visit everywhere you can during that time.  Go to school sports games, visit your child's classroom, walk around town.  Just remember he is not fully vacinated yet during this time so you must hold him or keep him away from anywhere another animal may have done their business.
  • Last but not least - buy from Mulberry Farm!!  Carol and Jim raise the best cockapoos!  Everything I listed above can be achieved because your cockapoo will already come to you with a great temperament and a very smart personality.  Yes, I was a bit hesitate about the price when we were researching.  We are a one income family and we planned ahead to buy Ranger.  Basically Ranger was bought with money we saved from my husband working overtime.  My husband would be the first to tell everyone that I am as thrifty as they come but take my word that a cockapoo puppy from Mulberry Farms is worth every penny!
Recently my husband and daughter went Christmas shopping for Ranger.  They went to a pet store to get him some toys.  In that particular pet store they also sold puppies (yes, I am cringing too).  Of course our daughter had to go over and say hi to them.  My husband came home and told me he actually saw a cockapoo puppy for sale there.  He said the puppy in looks didn't hold a candle to Ranger.  The price was around $900.  Can you believe that?  A pet store puppy for that kind of money!!  You know it came from a puppy mill and it did not have the love and compassion that a home bred puppy has.  My point is - you are not getting a fabuluous puppy from a pet store.  Their price is so close to the the price of a reputable breeder.  So why not spend the extra buck or two and get an amazing healthy pet that your family will cherish for years and years.  It is like apples and oranges to me - do not buy from a pet store.  Buy your puppy from a reputable breeder!!

I guess that is all for now.  I hope that anyone who reads this benefits from it.

Happy New Year Carol and Jim!!  I know I am long winded and this email is too lengthy but please feel free to post whatever parts you would like on your web site.  Thank you so much for Ranger.  He is so very loved!!  I do not have a digital photo of Ranger but I will send you via mail a regular picture this month so you can see how handsome he has grown to be.  Please feel free to use us as a reference anytime.

With sincere gratitude,

The Andrews
Keith, Christine, Clayton, Caroline
and of course...Ranger!!

Hi Carol
Just an update for you.  Pippin was a dream on the ride home - she sat in my lap and played with her rope toy and slept most of the way - happiest if her face was in the palm of my hand.  We stopped twice and she went both times.    She was adorable with the kids - not one bit shy.  Just jumped from one to the other kissing their faces and playing.  They are thrilled!  She slept well last night - from about 11;30 - 5:15.  No "accidents" inside - she is great about going when we walk her outside - as though that's what she's always done!  She loves the snow too.
Needless to say we are in love with her already.  She is a wonderful puppy with a great personality.
Thanks so much!
Elizabeth

Hi Carol.
Ok, so I hate to bug you ,but I just had to report on sweet Pippin.  I'm just shocked with this puppy.  I was envisioning weeks of being up at night, months of having her gated into small areas of the house and figured we were a long way off from my vision of having her curled up on her bed in my office (with the carpeted floor).  Well, she sleeps from 11:00 until 6:30 each night in her crate by our bed.  She has full range of the kitchen and family room and thus is really with us whenever she isn't in her crate (still sticking wth the training schedule), does her business outside quickly and efficiently when we bring her to the designated location, has only had two "accidents" in the house, and both times were about 20 minutes after she'd eaten and I was just not quick enough getting her out, and she is even as I write, curled up on her bed at my feet in my office while I work.  It's unreal.  She's a dream, and everyone is in love with her.  Just thought you might like to hear how well she's doing.  Hope all else with you and the pups is well.
Best
Elizabeth

Hi Carol.  We are the family that adopted Coal, black and white puppy born on 9/21/05 (parents are Liberty and Jackson).  We live in Wilton, CT.  I read the one-list everyday.  The reason for my e-mail, we just got back from our first puppy kindergarten class.  The instructor was amazed at how smart Coal is.  I was beaming and informed her that most, if not all, of your dogs are smart.  She said we are very lucky, not only because he is smart, but because he is beautiful.  Looking forward to seeing you again when we choose to adopt our next puppy.

Dear Carol

Just a quick email to let you know that Remy (our sweet little cockapoo) is doing wonderfully.  He has the nicest disposition of any dog we know.  He is smart, loyal and a wonderful companion.  And of course he has the outstanding Mulberry Farm cockapoo good looks - we have seen other cockapoos and there is a definite difference!  He is also very healthy - our vet says he is "perfect"!

I will get my kids to email a few photos of him so you can see for yourself.

Have a happy and healthy new year.  And THANK YOU again!  We love our adorable little Remy.

Take care Carol.
